Stephenson Harwood advises Civica Group on Point Progress acquisition

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised the Civica Group, a private equity backed business, on its acquisition of Point Progress, a UK-based expenses management software provider which supports carbon measurement and reduction.

Civica is a UK-headquartered global leader in cloud-based public sector software; this transaction complements its ESG strategy to continually reduce its own environmental impact, support customers' net zero ambitions and create sustainability-based software. Point Progress’ CarbonCalc solution provides individual employees with a comprehensive overview of the carbon footprint associated with their business travel, from flights and car mileage to hotels. It supports a range of public bodies across the UK, including the Scottish Parliament and Birmingham Women’s and Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by private equity partner Malcolm MacDougall, who was supported by associates Dafni Loizou and Isaac Paine.
