Stephenson Harwood advises Civica on LCSL disposal
Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Civica, a private equity backed business, on the sale of its licensing and cloud software lifecycle (LCSL) business to SCC, Europe’s biggest privately-owned IT services firm.
The sale includes Civica’s LCSL team and its existing customer and partner relationships. Civica, which is backed by private equity fund Partners Group, is a global public sector software provider, which delivers a range of software applications for public sector services, across the government and justice, local government, housing, health and care, and education sectors. Its LCSL customers include local councils, universities, and housing associations.
The Stephenson Harwood team was led by private equity partner Malcolm MacDougall, who was supported by associate Dafni Loizou and the commercial contracts partner Naomi Leach, who was supported by associate Kate Ackland.
