Stephenson Harwood advises Pelican Capital on Atech.cloud investment

Law firm Stephenson Harwood LLP has advised Pelican Capital, the private equity firm, on its £10 million initial investment in Atech.cloud (Atech), a UK cloud service provider (CSP).

The funds will be used to accelerate Atech’s organic growth, and to finance its pipeline of acquisition opportunities. Atech supports mid-market and enterprise corporations with complex cloud requirements. Its key services include digital transformation, managed services, managed security and infrastructure support. London-based Pelican Capital invests in companies that need up to £20 million of equity to facilitate ownership change and drive growth.

The Stephenson Harwood team was led by private equity partner Malcolm MacDougall, who was supported by senior associates Chris Manning and Nicola Baird and associates Dafni Loizou and Alex Stevens. The private equity team were closely supported by a number of specialists from across the firm, including employment senior associate Richard Freedman and associate Matilda Whittingham, commercial of counsel Melanie Mapstone, finance partner Julie Romer and senior associate Chrissy Vassiliou, and tax partner John Meehan.
